The printing preparation is the first phase of the printing production chain. It starts with accepting of data and continues with processing of text and graphic content. The output of this phase is the printing plate used as a template in the process of offset printing. The exposure of the printing plate can be done in different ways, our company uses CTcP technology. It is accelerated process, ensuring high quality of prints and at the same time saving costs of people and material.

CtCP:"Computer to conventional plate" is preparation of the printing templates using digital regime avoiding exposure of the printing films. The CTcP unit - UV Setter 710 was designed as new model of exposure unit for conventional offset plates and for UV spectrum sensitive material. It is therefore suitable for wide variety of known UV sensitive plates with wavelength of 360 up to 450 nm. UV Setter 710 2f supports exposure of plates with dimensions up to 940mm x 1150mm. UV Setter is integrated into the modern electronic preparation. Nec Arte uses for preparation of printing plates these two units: UV Setter 710 f2 and UV Setter 710 HS.

Layout:System is based on Macintosh platform (working stations for page make-up) and supplementary platform based on PC Windows (for conversion of data). The page make-up is done via Quark Xpress program supported occasionally by InDesign tool. Creating of vector illustrations is done by Adobe Illustrator. Bitmap documents are edited in Adobe Photoshop. For the exposure, it is preferred to use PDF formats which can be easily sent via internet or directly for printing.
